Alright here's the situation every now and then when sitting at a light my temp gauge goes 3/4 of the way. I rev it to 2k for a couple secs and it drops back to normal. I was told I could have a blockage in the heater core. Any other theorys. K thnx

 

Might be a faulty thermostat.?

 

Man it could be a number of things: Fans, T-stat, air bubbles in the cooling system, leak in the head gasket...ect My advise make sure all the fans are working, there's no air in the system, and that the T-stat is functioning. Then get back to us with what you found or didn't find.

 

Well the fan is working i know that much and I am quite certain the tstat is working the hoses on the top and bottom of the radiator are both hot. How so you get air out of the system?

 

Some integra's have bleeder screws by the top radiator hose, but mine didn't have it, so I was told to let the car idle for about 20-30 minutes with the radiator cap off.
