Default The Ultimate CRX

I have been thinking for the past few weeks since I obtained my CRX. Everywhere I look ppl are doing B16a, K20S, H22S,B18C, swaps. What about a B16B? ALot engineering went into this motor and a lot of ppl write it off as 15hp for another 1000. I want to build this motor into my car, because it reflects me. It has huge potential, but it is often underestimated and looked over. How hard woul dit be to swap into a CRX and if anybody has done this swa p please help me in getting info on the maitenance and tuning options. Plz do not give me the research the internet response. This swap is so uncommon that it is almost impossible to find info on it.

the b16b isn't much different then doing any other b-series swap..also that its an OBD-2, so all the necessary requirements for making your car obd-2 compatible will needed to be performed...but thats about it..

p.s. A LOT of people have done this b16b...its fairly common..

edit: "Your search for crx b16b returned 9 results."
"Your search for crx ctr returned 29 results."

B16b's are not really as strong as people make them seem.

You're pretty much just paying for the name.

The B16B is a good motor, but with a title thread like Ultimate CRX, You need a K20A type-r. Forget the H series for circuit racing. They are for one thing way to cramped in an EF bay, for another they add weight, that would make your suspension harder to setup, not to mention there isn't much support for that engine, and with a K swap placing the engine on the pass. side, helps with corner weighting. Since it's on the opposite side of the driver. Bar none if you want to make power K series is where it is at nowadays.

if you want to rev high go with the CTR , yes it would be pretty cool cause of the rare factor of the CTR , but for the price of dropping it in , you could build a z6 boost it and smoke the **** out of some CTR , h22 and gsr equipped crxs and still have a lil change left to buy a sonic drink and tater tots
