Front balance shaft seal and timing belt time.
So I just got a 94 Accord with a bad oil leak, and it turns out that the front balance shaft seal has popped out. After some research I see that was a commom problem and the recall for that has expired. So I'm going to buy that oil seal, the retainer, timing belt, balance belt, water pump, and the 2 accessory belts. My question is what else should be replaced while I'm in there? Tensioners or tensioner springs? The car has about 145K miles on it right now. Thanks!
Tensioners only add a few minutes to the job and some extra $$, I would do it if it were me (when it was, I did
). I also did the cam and crank seals, of course, I was at 290,000 miles so it was due.
