i had some battery issues, the battery died 2 times, jumped it once, and now that i have that all squared away, i noticed my SRS light stays on. I looked in the manual and it says to bring it to the dealer if it stays on, or bring it in every 10 years. It's been about 10 years since this car was built, so im wondering it if is telling me to bring it in or if something is wrong. Or is there anyway to like pull a code for it or reset it?

 

dude... just solved the same issue this morning... there is a write up on the accord FAQ here on the forum how to reset it... i just bought my accord used form somebody which had the SRS light on and now its off after i did the instructions. now my only concern is my CEL is on and the prvious owner said that the O2 sensor needs to be replaced... resetting the SRS light is easy... let me know if you need some help... we both have the same car and trim.

yup, i already read that, but i can't find the SRS cable i need to jump. Is it plugged into something or is it just dangling there.

dude its very easy to locate... its on the lower left side of the driver side... its a yellow connector... some say it ws hard to find but for the 96 lx, i found it easy.. when you go down you will see at least 3yellow connectors... what i used is the one on the lower part... i hope i could get some pics but my account is limited since im just a newbie on the forum...
if you go underneath the driver side dash, turn your head to your right and you will find a yellow connector... that yellow connector is by itself... that is the one i used...
