I think there is a difference between part-throttle and WOT engagement points, though.

the reason why I´m wondering is that I downshifted tonight and hit 7k rpm in second and it didnt sound like it should or felt like it..

VTEC relies on the following:
coolant temp
oil pressure
rpm
speed
throttle position

Cruise down the high way, drop it to neutral and rev it up.. you'll hear it engage... sgt is correct, thats all.

Throttle position IS load......

If your vtec can engage in neutral while the car is sitting still, then you have a
vtec controller. Otherwise it wont happen.

Sounds logical. Why would you need VTEC when you're standing still?

V-tec won't always kick in at same rpm, and sometimes (especailly when you are durning a turn) it won't engage because the oil all goes to one side when you are turning ,accelerating or breaking, and an aftermarket oil pan would help this.

Now that shouldn't happen!!! If it does your oil level is too low!!!

Yeah I know no abs, airbag or radio. I'am not to bothered about the abs or airbag, but I've got to get me a stereo! Also no mods yet, which is why I came to this forum to get ideas on the best way to mod my car.

Any pics of your car I can look at????? Still loking for insparation here in good old england

PS if anyone was wondering about the stickers in the windows they are for 1 reason. People in england have no idea what the car is, I always get asked what make of car it is, hense the honda sticker in the rear. If but a stroke of luck they know its a honda, they always and I do mean always say "hey I love your civic", yeah right, which is why I got the integra sticker in the rear.

Wow cool looking ITR luv the INJEN.

Got a quick question. In your first reply to me regarding tuning you said get a testpipe. I can see from your signature that you have one, I have never heard of this before, I take it is the name name of the xhaust if so is testpipe the maker of the pipe or just the name, also r they street legal bcause my car is a daily drive and unless you drive an escort or something like that you do get a lot of attention from the police . Sorry for sounding so thick but I am not really up to speed on tuning Jap motors as this is the first I've had

Cheers

A testpipe is just a hollow pipe (mine looks like a resonator = 3x17" tube) that replaces the cat. It's not streetlegal, but in Europe the police doesn't bother checking that. You only need to swap it back once a year for the smog test.
Race cats for the ITR are very expensive and hard to find here in Europe.......

Nice 1

Yeah I imagine the police over here wouldn't check (not really bright enough) to see if the cat has gone. Might have to chat to a couple of me mates and come up with one of those.

cheers

The heat shield is self-made, the Injen not...
