Car Is Dead Again: help!!?
got the car running again yest, and now its dead. car ran fine all day yest. went everyhwere. anyways, this morn, went to start her up and it wouldnt turn over. saw some smoke comin form under the hood. the ground wire from the mount to the valve cover was smoking. no clue why. didnt mess with any of the wiring when we put the tranny back on. now the car wont even crank. any ideas??? dash lights up, but the check engine light and the oil light in the cluster are dim. dont know whats up with that. looked like smoke was comin form under the valve cover, but not sure. smoke definitely comin form the ground wire though
checked the fuses. just had to replace the clutch relay fuse, under the driver side dash. still no crank now. i hope its not the starter
interseting. buddy had the saem suggestion. i looked, and didnt see the wire form the ground to tranny. but why would the car start up and run for a day without any problems??

It sounds as if the ground wire to the transmission was not installed.
All the amperage for your ignition is being grounded by the tiny engine ground wire. It can probably support all that electrical flow for a while, but it is not a heavy enough gauge for that kind of current.
now the clutch master cylinder is out. freakin 118.00 from honda. what BS. i hate honda dealers
Hehehe, it was $60 my cost....I love working for honda.

I had an ACT extreme PP. So did Todd. So did John. And you and Scrubachu probably too. All our clutch M/Cs went out. That's why I keep telling people to not the the extreme PP! I wouldn't get it unless I was putting down like more than 300 to the wheels.
