AC problems

I have a 00 4dr 4cyl accord ex. The AC has quit, the compressor does not cycle on and off.Is this low on freon(leak). Checked the fuse and it is good. Any ideas? Thanks for your help!!!

Low or empty refrigerant will shut the system down. Could also be a bad compressor.

Start out by checking the pressures in the system. Add refrigerant if needed, and put in leak detection dye along with it. DO NOT put any type of sealant in there.

over charge will also cause the system to fail to operate properly. the best thing to do is to place the system on a vaccum and then charge to the proper levels. If there is a leak they should charge the system up and then use a sniffer to find the leak or insert a florescent dye and then have you come back in a few days.

not likely the compressor has failed, more likely that the condensor has a leak in it and that is a $$$$ to fix
