I bought a b16 crx for 3500.....is it a good price?
hey guys, well i dont really know that much about cars. All i like is driving fast. Well i bought this 1988 crx, skunk2 coils, stage 2 clutch, no ac no system for 3500, i just want some suggestions if u guys have any, and is it a good price for 3500? and when the car is on neutral, it revs up and down from 1-2 rpm, is that bad?...

I guess 'cuz I could find one here with a swap already in place for 3k? Ofcourse when adding it up, i suppose it's not such a bad deal, but it stills seems kinda pricey, but maybe it's just my area, and it's different where you are?
if it runs good, is clean title, and reffed... i'd say its a good price.
personally, i'd swap out all the red stuff for OEM parts.
besides that, i'd say you got a decent car.
obviously you thought it was worth that much, because you bought it, right?

dude, it's a $500 difference.
comparing two cars that are NOT identical over that little bit of money is rediculous.

or the fitv (fast idle thermal valve) could even happen with an air bubble in your coolant system.

that one's a little ricey though, I'm talking clean cars, with clean swaps, ofcourse who knows if they'd pass a bar thingy, which in my opinion, if I was living out there, I'd fork it over for a legal swap

being that I own a 67 Camaro I have to disagree with that statement. While in it's hey-day the Camaro was a cheap hot-rod. now try finding a good car for less than 20K. And some of the rare cars are bringing over 100K. No crx will ever be worth that much

Dont. If you have to bring a swapped motor to a mechanic for a weird idle, please sell the car and get a hyundai.

It doesnt sound like dude knows a whole lot when it comes to swapped motors so what other choice does he have? Im in his area...so i could look at it/fix it for cheap

Well you think a complete swap with mounts and after all the extra wire and parts necessary to complete a b16 swap it normally costs around 2300, so that would leave a difference of 1200 which would be for the rest of the car and the is what clean rex, its not ricey its all stock with a paint job and steering wheel
I wish my rex was that clean
I wish my rex was that clean
i dont think thats a bad pirce really, car looks really clean and i know a couple of peoples cars that rev up when its stopped. anyways i like the car god pick
