man why dont people listen....
you asked about the dowel pins. we told you to get the golden eagle lsvtec dowel pins. but now you using stock ones. i hope you got the head machine to make them fit.
as for the headgasket you can use the ls but you have to mod it a little. do a search for it and you will find the answer on what to do... or you can just get the golden eagle lsvtec headgasket. which are just p30 gaskets bore to whatever size you want it
you should of just gotten the golden eagle lsvtec kit .

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the dowel pins go on the exhaust side of the head and block.

lol.
well if you go by cspeedracings write up, they say you can move them around on the head. they giuve 3 options, exhaust on the outside dowels, exhaust side on inner dowels, and intake on the outer.
i just prefer the ehxaust side. and thats traditionally how its done

you said its loose no matter which way you put it, try the exhaust side and see if its a snugger fit, its actually big side in the block, but you said it was still a loose fit... so im stuck

I'm with wantboost on this one.
Wow, you really dont need to be building a motor.
GE VTEC dowels. EXHAUST side. FAR outside.
GE Headgasket. 81mm Bore.
Done. Was that really that hard?
