Need Some "Help" Before Replacing a Broken Gauge.
hey...well my wife was cleaning my car the other day and she didnt know that my car didnt have a Gauge lens cover, so she took a rag and wipped the back of the steering wheel and accidentally broke the Temp gauge on the left. so i got pretty angry cause im very very protective of my car. so after i calm down i went to Tasautos and ordered a new replacement temp gauge.
now the question here is...when i unscrew and take off the the broken gauge is it plugged in? is it going to be simple to replace the gauges...is it a simple plug? to switch the gauges... i want to make sure i dont cause no shorts in the wires when i do this... please give me some adivce on doing this before the gauge comes to my house via UPS..
thanks, steve

It's very simple. After you take the instrument cluster out, and unclip the cover, there is I think 3 philips screws that hold the Temp gauge in. The gauge just falls out after that, no plug. (The philips screws holding it in are the ones in the back of the cluster, not the front.)

There is a main circuit board in the back of the cluster, that comes into contact with the individual circuit board on each of the gauges, upon attachment by the phillip screws.
The electrical connections are via the circuit board contacts.
