oh and do you guys think that there is enough line in the battery wire to put it under the dash or will i have to extend some wires?
thanks
thanks
i have a battery like that and i was going to locate it under the dash too since i took out all my a/c components and thereis like a lot of room under there...but you would have to make like a mounting bracket of some sort...but i think you would have to extend the wires a little bit but not by that much
just remove the stuff under the dash....and while your at it i would just change the wires also you gotta think the wires are probaly original so thats 15 years old....get new and bigger wires since your re-locating the battery

Get a armrest!
I think under the dash by the glove box is the best idea, easy access for jumpin, out of sight
If you dont absolutely have to keep it out of the engine bay, there's a relocation thingy offered by a company that moves it out of the way and looks good.
Autoworks is using it in his turbo ZC CRX.

I couldn't find the link to the manufacturer, but if your interested, hit up AW

looks good though

On another note, that mounting tray could bne mounted anywhere else (like maybe under the dash) if you drill the holes
I plan on putting mine in the cargo box some day.
On a side note, those boxes can be found by googling "osyddey pc680" and going thru the first few search results. I believe they're pretty expensive... makes more sense to me to fab one up

i was going to use this same bracket on my heeltoe battery.
as it is, the battery is small enough to keep in the stock location and have an eg style, or hybrid style intake...... with minimal bends.

also is it legal to have a battery in your car without a proper battery box. or are these batteries gel cells?

from what i was told, heeltoe battery is actually an aviation battery.
i've had mine for over a year... no problems starting. well... not true, i installed a supercharger, and it affected my charge system once, but i think that only had to due with a loose belt...... after that it cranked every time.
