Balancer shafts ... to keep or to loose ?

Balancer shafts ... to keep or to loose ?
In the same minded spirit as my no vtec cams thread ..
I was questionning myself as to keep or loose the balancer shafts for racing purpose...
Has anyone removed the balancer shafts on their H22 in here?
reliability ?
high rpm operation ?
please keep in mind that my application will be full circuit racer
with no need for low,mid and idle conditions ..
just wish to know about from whom with experience on not using the balancers!
( i know already that they rob ~10% power when ON )
