Default Timing Belt Cover

1st yes i have looked online. Im having a hard time trying to find a timing belt cover for my integra the lack of one has already costed me about $500. Does anyone know a place besides a dealership to get one?

Besides the dealership? Salvage yard.

I guess you could try an independent Honda mechanic to see if they have one laying around.

If all you need is the top outside cover, a new one will run you $30 at the dealer.

jsut bought one from baranco acura for $29.... not sure how your having trouble buying one...

There is a wrecked integra a mile from me, and I think the owner would let the cover go for nothing.

curious as to how it cost you 500 dollars...i have no cover at all, top bottom shaved v/c with the timing belt shroud cut off. No problems here.

which one do you need bro? I have a couple sitting here. and what year is the oil pump/motor? obd1 or 2?

well i assumed that, i was more interested in the exact damage it caused. The way mine is i seriously dont see any road debris gettig caught up in it. I fabbed a smaller version of the lower cover to protect from rocks etc that might be slung up from driving, but other than that i can think of any damage that would be directly caused from removing the cover...espically the upper cover i mean its a pretty good way from the ground to the upper timing/valve cover area.

something got stuck in the belt. broke the belt. bent the valves. and voila, lots-o-damage. thats what i imagine has happened
