Default Aftermarket Stereo Not Getting Power in EG

I just bought a cheap "DUAL" deck from Best Buy to hold me over and low and behold nothing. The wiring harness was thrashed so I wired straight to the car (followed http://www.installdr.com/). The only wire not used on the deck is blue (electric antenna). Fuses are all fine (under hood and under dash). I have to be missing something and YES I did search. Any help would be awesome.

Did you verify which wire isn't getting power with a meter or test light?

Probably need to start there, and figure out exactly which wire is the problem, then you can either try to fix that wire, or just run a new one from the fuse box or ignition harness....

If you verify that the deck is getting constant 12v, and switched 12v, and you've verified that your ground is good, then I would say that you have a DOA deck... I saw it all the time with those decks.

Check the 7.5A fuse under the hood (ecu backup) and then check the dome light fuse in the driver's kick. This is assuming of course that you're using the factory power wires, which you should be. If you run your own wires, you can solder into the ignition harness.
