Default New Integra Owner

okie dokie. had a 95 accord ex. some ***-clown totaled it, and i acquired a 95 integra from my father's car lot. he just got it, i looked it over. 5sp. and i'm new to the integra engine codes, but i think its the B18B1(?). its DOHC, nonVTEC. i think thats what it is. anyhoo. on my accord, i had been buying parts to make a f22/h22 frankenstein, now that project is dead, but. i'm a VTEC kinda guy. i was wondering if i acquired a B18C1 or C5 head (the VTEC ones, right?) would it be a more or less bolt on(other than the VTEC solenoid, of course)? or not. because with the f22/h22 frankenstein i had a list 3miles long of parts i needed, but with this i was not sure. did some h-t searching, but found no results. any and all help would be greatly appreciated. thanks so much.

b18c1, c5, or you can use b16 vtec head. you can buy ls v kit and ask some1 to install it for you.. i would suggest you boost.

I think almost all b series heads and blocks mount up pretty well. The b20 might be a bit different but don't quote me on that, im no lsvtec/b20vtec guru. But i do know that golden eagle sells a kit that has all the parts you need to make the conversion save the head and the wire harness. I have been thinking about doing a b20vtec in my Da but i have no money for it at the moment.
Good luck to you.

VTEC is nice but Boost is better...

But since you like VTEC, I would personally suggest just dropping a new motor into your car.

Reasoning:

1. With a 1995 integra, you probably have high miles already
2. Most people that i've encountered that had a LS-V had problems

GL with it though...
