Mugen MR5 Bolt Touque Specs
Over the summer Im most likely going to be taking these apart and posishing them up because they are in hurting shape. I tried my best the other day to do the lip on one of them but I just cant get it into the nooks and crannies as much as I would like so I want to seperate them.
The only concern I have is what the torgue specs on the 2 piece rims are. Also anyone who has taken them apart know of the correct process of putting the bolts back in. Is it just like a wheel where you do it with one then install the opposite? Since there are like 30 bolts holding the pieces together.
Thanks

the torque depends on the thread size of the bolt just like stated above in the thread i posted.
notes on sealing up the rim again.
iresealed some BBS and i torqued them in a criss-cross pattern(top one first, then far bottom one, then the one on the top next to the firsti removed and so on and so on).. use loc-tite or some other threadlocker - get some and apply to each bolt liberally.
both surfaces must be clean and dry so that the lip seats smoothly on the barrel, and so that the caulk gets a good grip on both surfaces.
run a bead of silicone caulk around the edge before you put the lip on the barrel to the outside of the bolt holes, bolt/torque it down in a criss cross pattern, then wipe the excess off that may squeeze out to the front of the wheel. next run a bead around the barrel/lip joint inside the tire area, and smooth it in with your finger. be sure to press the silicone into the groove.
