Default Diff. betwen LS/GS Y-80 transmission and GSR Y-80?

I noticed sites have a Y-80 Listed for the LS tegs....i guess as an option or something along with the S-80? Anyway, I have a 'Y-80' in my car (92 CX with b18b1).....how do i tell which tranny i have? LS or GSR? or are all Y-80's the same?

3rd, 4th, and 5th gear are shorter on the GSR, as well as the final drive.

this may be totally off, but, is it possible to change out certain gears and install in different trannys? Such as the GSR 3rd into an LS? Does this throw everything out of wack?? Just an question??

Y-80 doesnt mean **** other than what car it came from....so its saying both transmissioins came from a integra. if the tranny has a VIN # on it you can call a dealer and have them run it and tell you what trim integra that VIN was from, or you can see what MPH you are at at certain speeds....a GSR tranny will be at 4000rpm at 80.

so is the GSR 1st and 2nd gear same as the LS 1st and 2nd gear?
The LS, GSR, and Type R have the same gear ratio for first and second gear, but the Type R and GSR accelerate faster because the LS has a different final drive. The Type R accelerates faster than a GSR because of a lighter flywheel.
