Has anybody had a resonator installed on their exhaust? Mine is hella loud, so I want a resonator to quiet it up a bit.

I am thinking of a 18" resonator. How long does it take to weld these things in...basically I don't want to get ripped off, so if anybody knows how much they payed for a resonator and install, please let me know.

I got mine done for free at a freinds shop, but i guess $20 ??? I don't know.

 

I was quoted $20 for a resonator and $20 for install, at the shop that did my exhaust before, but they ended up charging me just $20.

 

i was also wondering how much it would be... what do the inches of the resonator mean? bigger = quieter? my rex has too much of the bee'ish sound to it and i want it toned down..

 

i got charged 40 bucks for because i had to cut my stock resonator off of stock piping and weld it onto my custom piping... i think i got ripped off, though.. they said it was a "heavy weld" or some shyt blah

 

i paid $50 for my 22in resonator.....but the guy told me to get the 22in cuz it was the same price as the 18in

In Canada, $50 bucks out the door. Go to a shop that doesn't consider this CUSTOM work, therefore more $$$. Shops suck, but I don't have a welder. Make sure they put in the right size and DO NOT weld it to your header. Happened to me without knowing it. Can you say ONE piece header to B pipe. PITA, Overkll
