Default jdm gsr wiring problem

ok well i bought a teg w/ a jdm gsr in it. the teg was originally an LS therefore not having vtec. the car is throwing a vtec code and of course vtec is not kicking in. i tested the solenoid and switch and they are both good so it has to be the wiring. it has a gsr ecu but i think it still has the LS harness. the guy that had the car before spliced some wires at the ecu for a vacf but took it out and just used butt connectors to reconnect wires. he had the vtec hard wired. would it be best to just buy a gsr engine harness? he has the solenoid (grn/yel) wire connected to a (grn/blu) wire on the ecu...so maybe its the wrong wire? any help appriciated.

also is it true jdm motors don't have the crank fluc. sensor?

Default Re: jdm gsr wiring problem (jdmgsrteg)

DON'T HAVE TO BUY THE WIRE HARNESS.JUST RUN THE VTEC AND PRESSURE SWITCH DIRECTLY TO THE ECU.ECU CONNECTOR A (26PINS) SLOT A4 FOR VETC AND CONNECTOR D (22PINS) D6 IS FOR THE VTEC PRESSURE SWITCH.
IF NOT SURE ON PIN LOCATION A4 VTEC IS BOTTOM ROW SECONDONE FROM THE LEFT LOOKING AT THE WIRE SIDE. A2 IS YELLOW WIRE A6 ORG/WHT AND A4 IS IN BETWEEN. D6 IS THE THIRD ONE FROM THE LEFT ON THE BOTTOM ROW.
D4 IS BROWN/WHT WIRE AND D8 IS AN EMPTY SLOT. HOPE THIS WORKS OUT FOR YOU.
