I don't know a lot about these cars. Just know that they can be quick and make a good starting point for a rally car.

 

Galant VR4 = lot's '0 **** whoopin! Those cars DEMAND respect! With b/c, I/E they're capable of low 13's. I've had two confrontations with one. Once in my R (he pulled 25 car lengths, seriously) and once in my Stang (same guy). We were dead even at the top of th 1/4 mile. But my Stang is good for low 12's. So that should say alot abot the VR4.

I disagree. As long as the Civic hatchback is stock-appearing, but packs a 14 second or faster punch. Then yes, it IS a sleeper. Just because tons of hybrids now have altezza tails, spoilers, body kits, etc. It doesnt mean that a discreet EG with a B18 swap isnt a sleeper anymore. On the contrary, it's now more of a sleeper than ever.

Even an ITR can be a sleeper. All you need is a well installed wet nitrous set up (4 foggers preferably, jetted to 100hp) and you have an ITR thats capable of 12.9 on slicks but looks stock. Sleepers rule the world quietly. They always have and always will. Automotive trends may come and go, but sleepers will endure the test of time in any way shape or form.

 

If my car gets stolen I am buying a 5.0 fox-body coupe.

 

 

There are some fast vr4's running around brooklyn/queens. There is another dark grey one, with mods that i have seen cruising around. Saw the driver 'testing' it out in queens just off the N. Conduit, and damn it was fast! I also saw one with ralliart stickers, otherwise stock on the outside in Stony brook, NY a few years back.

RWD and the 2JZGTE Supra TT engine bolts right on in! Swap in the 6 speed (if prefered) and you have potentially a 1000+ hp crap car...

 

Go with a 240SX, S13 are a lil cheaper, and the 95-96 aren't too high. good sleeper, one of the few sport compacts that is RWD. Good aftermarket for the SR20DET too.

My brother has TWO Galant VR - 4s - both running 11s

 

I had a guy in a white one challenge me on the way home from atco in my prelude when n/a... NFW did I bite, I knew he'd leave me like I was standing still. Some people want way too much for these damm galant vr4's, but you can come across one in pretty good STOCK condition if you're patient. I almost did, but hey it's still an 11 year old mistubishi.

My boy has one. good for low 13's. 12's on slicks.
