Default Best way to clean up a dirty ramhorn manifold?

I'm interested in a ramhorn manifold for sale, but it looks a little rough (HUGE PIC, not my fault ):

How can I clean it up like new, without coating it? I might coat it down the road, but I just want it looking clean again.

Steel wool? Simple Green? I'm just throwing ideas out there, I have no idea what I'm doing.

Or you could take a wire wheel to it.

Bead blasting would be much better though.

FYI, spend hours cleaning it up, it will only look clean for about a month or two before it goes back to looking like that.

Yep. That's why it should be coated.

put header wrap on it and call it a day, plus it will dramatically reduce under hood temps. That's my experience

use paint stripper in a can, that stuff rips off anything on surface.

I had my RevHard tubular manifold (for sale) sandblasted, but it's already starting to get dirty & rust.

I'm just going to spend $75 locally and get it Kermacrome'd.

it takes quite a bit of time, but we've found that sanding the entire manifold works best.
just make sure to wipe the mani with laquer thinner before starting to engine to remove any oil deposits that would cause "hot spots"

just put it on and boost it a bit. all that surface rust will go away.

if you want it to look pretty, get it coated.

platinum.

Here's another picture of the manifold (on the car):

I guess it doesn't look THAT bad.

Polish it and keep it clean, it will stay goldish....EVERYONE thinks beadblasting will work but it will turn brown

That's what I'm wondering...what can I clean/polish the manifold with? Besides beadblasting/coating it.

WD-40? Brake Cleaner? Steel wool?

Update: I finally got the manifold today, it really doesn't look that bad at all. Is it going to go back to its goldish color when it's running on my motor?
