CV Boot For Teg
Just want to know if anyone on here has changed their own cv boot(inner and outer boot) on their Teg. 98-01?? If so, how hard is it, what tools do you need. I'm thinking of chaning them myself.
I've done it before several times. It's not too difficult, air tools might make it easier.
You'll need a 32mm socket for the axle nut (rent one for free at autozone if you need to) and a breaker bar, if not impact wrench to take it off.
I could give you piece by piece instructions but I'm sure it's on here somewhere else and I can't remember the official names of anything so it sounds confusing if you haven't done it before. If no one posts a link I'll send you a picture with a tutorial on what to do.

Friend just called, the CV just broke on his accord and now it's not driveable. Guess I'll be fixing that tomorrow. I'll take some pics of what to do. pm me if you want them.
yup I would rather change out the whole axle. its a real messy job trying to get everything clean and dealing with all that grease. a new axle is pretty cheap and most auto parts stores have a warranty. just turn in the old axle as a core.
sorry guys, that's what I meant but didn't bother to correct myself in the first posts. I always refer to it (probably incorrectly) as a "cv axle" and swap the part for a rebuilt one.
