Default shifter/ shift linkage problem

i just had an auto-manual swap done on my 98 civic ex. now the shifter hits the exhaust. either the shifter is too long or my exhaust is too high.

did i get a shift linkage from a diff car? are the interechangable ones different in civics? or should i just take my car to an exhaust shop and have them lower my exhaust

If you have a short shifter then chances are the bottom end of the shifter was extended and will rub on the exhaust.
