head gasket and studs
doing a new intake mani. on gsr turbo and wanted to get a new headgasket at the same time cause it's blown. i was looking at the cometic headgasket and arp headstuds, planing to boost 7-8 psi,are the head studs necessary cause they are a bit pricy.
Im using ARP headstuds on an NA motor...just nice to be able to reuse them a few times... Plus they're strong. Can't beat having strong parts, I guess.

I would definately get arp since you're removing the head. Its not a good idea to reuse the oem ones because then can stretch. You can torque down the arp studs a little more and you can reuse them.
i guess they're not a bad investment. i'm gonna go with an oem head gsaket, will ls fit for gsr? i hear it is thicker and safer (lower compression) to go with gsr turbo.
It's the 2nd time, 2nd forum you posted the headgasket question in, and I just have to ask...why is it so important to you?
Bad tuning is what destroys motors, not compression.

An ls will not work. They're also the same thickness...
