honestly i would rather not do the turbo thing. i owe $14,000 on my car i really dont want to deal with the problems that come with a turbo or supercharger. i would rather have an all motor d17 that can whoop on integras.
so far a cam is the only thing u said... what else do they make? would a new ecu do anything? will it make my redline higher? i wanna be able to rev to like 7,500 rpms without hitting the limiter.. is that possible?

if u wanna be cheap.. nitrous kit is ur best bet... you want something more permanent then get a utrbo kit... if you go all motor.. ur gonna spend alot of money just to get it up to 160.. but hey.. the 01 civics are lighter than the integras.. so..

91 integra ls weights about 2680lbs
03 civic dx weights about 2450lbs...

200lbs lighter... lol

i have an ex its says on my door like 3250 lbs or sumthin. but i dont think a turbo is going to be as consistant as all motor. im not trying to be cheap. i am willing to spend like 3000. but any more then that i might as well save for the k20... lol by the way how do u pass emissions in other states with a diff motor in your car. ?

lol.. in my area all obd2 cars just plug into the computer and if it pasts it pasts.. we dont use the sniffer and visual here... the only time it is used is on the older cars.. but since the 01 and up civics use obd2 then u can pass.. i just passed 2 weeks ago and walked off with only paying the 29.99 emissions test fee..

You could probably pick up a K24 for that.

To obtain MAYBE 190hp on a d17:

Stage 2 cams
Adjustable cam gear
VTEC Controller
Engine Management System
Pistons
Fuel Pump
Returnable Fuel system
Ignition System
Injectors

And a very good tune. For that much money to obtain maybe 200 hp, drop that money on a turbo K series, and youd be humping.

More like 160hp than 190hp. You're going to have a hell of a time to get 160hp out of a N/A D17, and I'm not so sure that what you posted would even be enough for that.

Cam gears won't gain you hp. Cam gears + better fuel + hours of adjustment will, but even then, at most you're looking at is around 5hp.

B-series swaps won't work well with the 7thgen, because they're simply not supported well. There's too much work involved, for the end effect.

Look at what a K24 out of a CR-V will cost you, and try and go that route, with an EP3 tranny and axles.

Swapping the head for any non-a3 K20 head, will gain you about 30whp. Then, throwing some higher compression pistons (like the ones from a K20a (RSX Type-R)), and you'll easily see 240-250hp at the wheels.

i think they made them adjustable or something so that the motor sits lower.
