Hey everyone,

I hope this question has not been asked before. I recently sold my 1.6 EL and I had an RSX steering wheel installed in it. I had the wheel taken out and wanted to sell it, but I will not recover most of the money for what I paid for it.

I'm still on the hunt for a 93 4 dr. DA Teg. I wanted to know, will the RSX wheel fit in a DA or even a DC? From my understanding, the spline diameter is different and it won't. Can anyone confirm this?

it will not fit since the rsx wheel is 5 lug. The DA and DC lug pattern is 4x100. SO, if you do a 5 lug conversion on a DA or DC, then it will fit from what I understand.

 

RSX = 5 lug

All integras exc. Type R = 4 lug

Type R = 5 lug

 

Darn it! Thanks for replying. Is it expensive and difficult doing a 5 lug conversion?

 

What year was your EL?? If I am not mistaken , the EL's all had 4x100mm bolt patterns and therfore a wheel that fit on your EL would fit on any DA or DC (exc. Type R).

Are you sure the wheel in question is from an RSX?? RSX's have 5x4.5 in. bolt patterns.

The year EL I sold was a 2000. I am 120% sure it's an RSX wheel. I bought it brand new from Acura. Yes, I'm crazy. Here's a pic. for you to see to prove it was in my EL.

That's what threw me when they mentioned 5 lug.
I said I think the spline diameter is different on the DA's and DC's than that of the RSX.

 

it doesnt fit into dc but not sure about da.

No, it wont fit, he splines is different. Somewhere floating around here is a DC with one and I think they used parts from an EK. I believe the wheel is a direct fit to a s2000 and the ek.

 

Thanks for confirming that. I never understood why the RSX wheel would fit into an EL and Civic, but not a Teg. And meanwhile the RSX replaced the DC Teg.

 

Sorry, IntegraChick. Had I actually read your initial post I would have seen the word "steering" wheel and I wouldn't have blathered on about bolt patterns! Oops.

 

lol i was so confused when i started reading posts... hahaha. started from a steering wheel to people talking about itrs being 5 lugs....

and btw. itrs came in 4X114 lug patterns as well. to whoever posted ...

rumor has it that you need an EK steering column to fit an rsx/s2k steering wheel. i'm not sure if it's true for the rsx though.

 

No worries guys. Your confusion got me confused.

I'll look into the possibility of needing the EK steering column to see if it can fit the RSX wheel. The 1.6 EL is a glorified Civic, so it's worth looking into.
