I got my ziex's for $50 a pop... Try some azenis if you want a sticky street tire, but it doesn't last very long. Search around, there's lots of discussion on "what tires should I get?"

205/40-16 is the proper 16" size for your car. The Azenis RT-615 is $84/tire in that size at Vulcan. They are the stickiest street tire on dry pavement. Their downsides are so-so wet traction and rapid treadwear.
If you plan to drive 10-12K miles during 6 months, then the Azenis RT-615 will last 6 months. If you plan to drive more miles than that, then they won't. (Maybe you aren't aware that tire life depends on distance driven, not time?)
If you want longer treadlife and/or better wet traction, and you're willing to give up some dry traction to do so, then consider the Kumho Ecsta SPT, $73/tire in 205/40-16. Very good dry traction (not like the Azenis, though, but still decent), outstanding wet traction, and should last 30-40K miles. However many months that takes you to drive that far.
