Cable to Hydro Conversion Question
Hey guys, long time browser, first time poster. I'm a good friend of PandaHatch, and he got me started on this board. But the time has come that I actually have a question.....
At the current time, I've got a '93 Special Edition Integra. Being as it's an OBD1 car, I recently acquired a '92 Si hatch to put the dropout in. Knowing the dropout has a cable tranny, I won an auction on Ebay for a used Avid Racing conversion kit to keep the cable tranny in the hydro car. It was advertised on Ebay as being for a '92-00 Civic, but upon receiving the box (being the original box it came in from Avid), it says '96-00 Civic on the outside? Question I have, is will this still work with my EG, even though it says it's for the EK?
That, and if it will work, does anyone have any pointers on installation, since it didn't come with any directions. I'm assuming it's pretty straight forward, but any help is appreciated.

Everything in the kit will not bolt up. The one thing that is important is the new conversion mount bracket, allowing you to bolt the tranny to the framerail mount. However, the bracket supplied to mount the slave cylinder to the cable tranny is going to be universal through the years. Actuating the clutch is not going to be the problem. I use a YS1 in my 97 hatch. By the way, your friend has a sick *** engine bay. Its one of my favorites and I'm not a fan of NA.
Here's a link to the auction I won of the actual part, so I have a visual on the parts.....

Every other pic I've seen of the conversion mount for the EG w/ a cable tranny looks EXACTLY the same, but without that goofy big black metal bracket, and was just the small black piece, and the gold bracket. The bracket seems to have the same 3 holes to the frame rail that everyone speaks of for the EK. I know it shows two different part numbers for the EK and EG conversions, but that braket is throwing me off, and making me think the mount is the same, and that bracket just basically converts the frame rail mount to being like the EG mount. Not to mention the hacked together home made conversion mount that used to be in my friends Cable-trannied EG looks EXACTLY like a cheap version of the billet mount I have when I compared the two next to each other last night. Any ideas there?
Oh and yes, Brian's engine bay is sick as hell. I only wish my junk pile was that clean (and fast!)
