Having owned 2 sets myself there is no mistaking the anodized lip on te's. fake ones just don't even come close with that. Those are real for sure.
If you're still shaky on them have the dude take pics of the sticker on the inside of the wheel. If those are gone, have him take pics of the hubs. They should say made in Japan or Rays Eng.

this is why HT people always get scammed... be more careful I'm shure he's a good person but dont go saying "so and so will never lie" then what if someone gets scammed because of your vouch how you gonna feel

Real, look at the above pictures of the lip. The Rota's have the spokes integrated with a ring that goes around the entire wheel. The real ones just have the spokes and the lip, but no ring connecting the spokes .
