It took me countless hours to "custom modify" that clock to fit!
But you can have it for the low low priceof $300 us currency.
All joking aside...I'm not parting out the car...keep them offers coming!
Thanks

Actually, I'm not crazy.
$4000 in my opinion is a fair ASKING price. Yes, I used to work at a car dealership, and you ask a higher than what you're intending to sell a car for, because the buyer will always bargain. Ever had a car salesman chase you off the lot? Because they will if they think you'll bargain.
Notice, the "obo" clause of the ad. These letters stand for "or best offer," indicating that the price of the car is indeed negotiable.
I have the reciepts for my new parts, some of which have been used for less than 2 months. I do have a certificate of acceptence from Berkeley, to prove that I am indeed moving up north. I'll run a carfax for you if you want.
The price of the car may seem higher than most, which I admit it is, but it's because all of my parts are new, and so is the swap. I haven't had it for 2 or so years like some of the other ones for sale, and I had to spend extra cash to convert from a Civic Standard 4spd to a 5spd DOHC Vtec. But it is the lightest of all the civic hatchbacks, weighing in at less than 2k pounds in stock trim.
Not dissing you, just defending my ad. I'm trying to sell my car, don't make it harder than it already is.
Thanks

Man EVOCELICA...what is your problem dude? If you have no intention of buying the car, why come on and complain about the price? You are wasting his time, bandwidth w/ useless posts, and just being a general nuisance.
What do you plan on doing about the smog....do you have a BAR sticker? or what is the story, because in SoCal it is the sellers responisibility to get a smog check before selling the car.

and to answer your question, I plan to sell it in the way that every other person in California plans to sells their hybrids. 'Nuff said.
Actually "as is" doesn't have anything to do with the smog...that is due to warranty issues. The fact is, that when a car changes ownership it MUST be smogged, period, and it is the sellers responsibility, because the way they look at it is that if it won't pass smog, then the owner shouldn't have been driving it.
No I am not planning on buying the car, but I have a friend who is looking for one. Sorry if I'm not aware of the way that "everyone else" in SoCal sells their hybrid....

Actually, You can go down to the DMV and find out for yourself that if the car is sold "AS-IS" and no smog is specified in a written bill of sale, the owner does not have to smog the car. I mean, I could write "not running" on your bill of sale, you pay me, and you still own the car.
As for this car, Eddie is a friend of mine, and anyone who has cash and isnt just asking for the hell of it will receive a smog certificate with this car. No more questions about smog laws, if you are merely speculating, go to the DMV and ask them how it works.
I work in a car dealership btw, and I have also been involved in 6 or 7 private Buy/Sell transactions in the last year alone.
On an unrelated note, this car is F'N fast. Eddie has probably only his vtec in it less than a dozen times since he bought it, but when he got on it, it pins you into your seat, and thats on the low cam. The XSI gearing is very torquey.

"BAR (the bureau of automotive repair) made sure that loophole was closed several years ago. That used to be the way that unsuspecting buyers ended up being stuck with smog disasters. It has been set by court precedent that the seller is responsible. You cannot waive that right by saying as is. The bottom line is that it is illegal to sell a vehicle that is not smog compliant in the state of Ca. Meaning that if it is offered for sale it has to be smog legal. This applies to both dealerships and private parties. The only real exclusion to this issue is vehicle used exclusively for "off road use" which by the definition are not registered for street use. The bottom line is if it is plated for street use it must be smog leagel before it is offered for sale and must pass a smog inspection in order to complete the transaction on anything 73 & newer." My Dad...smog tech for over 15 years....

well, ya know what? your dad can lick my nuts. look, if you're not interested in the car then stop posting on this thread. anybody who has the slightest clue about hybrid hondas will know that most are not smog legal so whoever buys the car will have to worry about smog and so forth. if that law is true, then how did i just sell a car, my brother just buy a car, and DRFlickner go through so many transactions, without smogging the cars? ***
