Service manual has pictures.

Remove thermostat cover (2 bolts, connects to lower radiator hose, by driver side motor mount.

Replace thermostat. Replace thermostat cover gasket.

Reinstall thermostat cover.

I guessing that since it is Mugen, it doesn't really matter...

We recommend the use of this thermostat to aid in the effiency of your vehicles cooling system. It prevents engine power loss by minimizing rapid water-temperature rises under extreme conditions. The Mugen thermostat opens up at a lower temperature than a factory unit allowing the coolant to flow through your engine sooner reducing coolant temperature.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Here is a write-up on the thermostat install (also header install):

Note that getting to the thermostat is a bitch with the intake manifold in place. But removing the intake manifold is also a bitch...but if you remove the manifold you can do the Hondata insulating gasket as well (which arguably is a better mod than the thermostat alone).

You can get it from the bottom if you're sneaky.
