i looked at my new engine and i want you guys to confirm it is indeed 98spec jdm itr. tranny s80 LSD NS3, 2 piece header shield and it looks to be a 1 piece header. the head stamping had 9/8 on the first circle, b18c block code, and 240+ compression on all cylinders.

from what i understand, the 9/8 means it was made sept 98? just some quick confirmation it is indeed 98spec and ill be on my way

 

pictures would help....but definitely sounds like a 98 spec. 9/8 means it was built in 1998 for a 1999 model year car

btw, the tranny code for JDM 98spec should read "N3E"
