h&r race springs for 90 crx si with what shocks?
i have heard that the tokicos are reall good shocks, but when lowered they blow out.. I personaly like the Koni yellows.....hence i voted for them.
check out http://www.groupbuycenter.com for good deals on suspension stuff
Koni yellow rules.. but personally I think the HR springs are too soft for a really firm ride.. go for Eibach or get the Koni suspension kit..

The Bilstein HDs are the only shocks Bilstein makes for the 90-91 CRX. They are very good shocks (I have them mated w/ my H&R OE Sport Springs), BUT they are intended to replace the factory shocks and are not designed to necessarily be paired w/ progressive springs. Insofar as this happens to be the case, I would not recommend the HDs for the H&R race springs seeing as how the progressive rate is really high. In my case w/ the OE Sports, I get a really stiff ride w/ pretty decent dampening. If I wanted to be hard core, I would have gone w/ the Koni Sports (adjustable yellows), but I thought I'd take my chances w/ the Bilstein HDs and I'm pretty happy w/ them. Just need some thicker sway bars now.

You're right about the Bilsteins are more for factory replacement. They probably can't handle the H&R race springs. But I think that the H&R race springs are more of a linear rate (like the Neuspeed race) and not progressive. The Koni's are your best bet. They can handle 400-600 lbs/in. out of the box. I know that the spring rates for the Neuspeed race springs are 575/425. I think the H&R's are similar.
I have H&R race with the Tociko Illumina's on my 91 Si hatch, and they've been great. They've been on my civic for about 4 years on Ohio roads. The front of the car is just now starting to get a little bouncy on bridge joints with the shocks set on 3f/4r. Just don't completely cut the bumpstops down to nothing and they won't blow out.
simply...........YELLOW!
