Default Mini Me help

There are so many write ups..
And the one I went with did not say anything about the oil jet on the block.
I heard some have it and some don't...
Can somebody that done the 2000 block veritify it...
I already put everything back on.
The block is a 2000 D16Y7...
Thanks

theres an oil jet that is between the middle two cylinders towards the back of the block on the horizontal mating surface where the head goes. This you have to remove. If there isnt one there then don't worry about it. If you don't remove it there will be no vtec. I'm not sure if there is one on a 2000 block but if there is remove it.

Where does that vacuum line go to?

Last IVAC WIRES.
the EX has 3 prong connector like the DX.
Which wires to cut or move on ECU?
This is a 2000 Dx so I'm guessing OBD2B.

Right now the car idles good but no go. As soon as you go it shut off or power down.

dont necessarily need a 00' ecu but thats what ur **** would run on if it was stock.. I have B16 ecu on my 94 coupe with single cam.. OBD2 Vtec computer is what u need.. "P2P is stock ECU code for EX" but u could run an OBD2 P72 "gsr computer" P30 which is OBD2 Del Sol B16A2 ecu.. or P2T which is the Canadiian Version SI Ecu.. which also OBD2/Vtec..... And as far as engine harness u dont need an EX harness either, just have to run a couple wires to ECU an get some stock ECU pins from honda "like 7 bucks" an than ur golden :-) There are plenty of write ups on here with the info needed to run vtec on non vtec harness's an knock sensors an all that shiit, trust me.. I know, cuz I had to do it to my DX to get Vtec after I swapped... Theres tons of diff solutions u could do easiest an most efficient would be the ex ecu with modded dx harness or ex harness... But I guess Im just more the "lets try this instead" kinda guy... D16Z6 ecu compared to B16A chipped ECU was like adding air to flat tires on my car.. Runs great, no complaints, good luck, an search an read search n read search n read.. And then once u kno it all, search an read some more..

yeah i ran a JDM SOHC VTEC ecu on my mini me and it ran like ****, got the right ecu for it and ran like a champ... if your trying to make your **** clean, do it right. Yeah you might need to spend some money on it... but why do it half *** when you can do it the right way... the right way is the only way

Making ur own harness an using a diff isnt half assing.. It's working with what u have... Not everyone has 100 bucks to go throw on an ECU or 50-100 for an engine harness, i'm just tryna help the guy out by savin him a couple bucks thats all.. I never told him doing n e of that was wrong, just said thats not the only way his car will run so he didnt have that impression.. Otherwise i'd told him to OBD2-OBD1 swap his ****, throw a Z6 metal head gasket, an boost his life away... But naa, just tryna give him some open minded thoughts like he asked for...

come on I'm need help here...
If I got all that money, I wouldn't do the mini me in the first place.

So far with the write up floating around is for OBD2A not B.
I found out that the A and B has difference pin locations on the hardness. So they are totally difference.

Bump for someone who did or know the write up for OBD2-B

Weld the cruise control port on the back of the manifold shut. Weld the port on top of the flange shut. Weld the four tiny holes above each runner on the flange itself shut. Those tiny holes and the port on the flange are for air injection which you don't have.

Follow this to re-wire the iacv: http://www.ff-squad.com/tech/w...1.jpg

I did this setup about 1.5 yrs ago and it's running strong and about to be boosted in 2 weeks.

Ya that ff-squad site has good info. Listen I just had a 00 GSR motor swapped into my 97 DX OBD2A. I reused my DX harness and modified some of the plugs to work with the motor, like cutting off some of my plugs and splicing in the neccessary ones fromt he integra harness. Most important one is the IACV. The EX head has a 2 wire, where yours is a 3 wire. Try to find a 2 wire IACV plug, here is one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

I believe u can run it OBD 1 if u have the ecu and the obd2b to obd1 conversion harness, but u will still need to re-pin the ecu harness as if u were gong to run it obd2b ecu before u use the obd1 conversion harness. The wires u re-pin are the IACV wires, and the neccessary vtec wires.

follow these instuctions, these will tell u where all the wires need to go, including the vtec wires

Good luck man!

^Yup all you have to add is IACV, VTEC, VTEC Oil Pressure, and Knock Sensor(if your ecu requires it).
