How can i get paint off my wheels?? HELP! dont want to ruin the finish...
Well.. my car had languished at a body shop for a month waiting to be painted.. in that time.. the body shop had carelessly left it out in an area where they were painting other cars... when i got the car back.. i noticed that there is primer splattered on two of the wheels.. (which i had a sale pending on- and now im fuct)...
does anyone know how i can get this **** off without ruining the finish on the wheel?
I KNOW that the obvious solution is to go back to the body shop and make it their problem, but i want to sell these wheels and need a quick fix.
LMK if you have any possible solutions.. i tried mineral spirits but it did not work.. the paint is dried on there pretty good....

thats the exact reason most people put shitty wheels on their cars whenever they go to body shops, for instance my brother put his del sols on to replace his regas, and when he got his car back there was primer and bondo on the rims and tires
there should be something to take that off though

yeah.. its serious ****.. it will strip just about anything.
i use it when i refinish wheels because it will take it down to bare metal.. and fast.

but if you get an agressive compound you will in turn put scratches in your rim, i know u dont want that do you?
i didnt plan on compounding them, that would take the finish off also.. i simply asked if claying them was the same principle.. in other words, i was asking if it was an abrasive also-
but it doest matter now, if it works, it works. its all good.
thanks
