it has 190,000....new timing belt, water pump and full tune up... i did it all my self so maybe the timing belt did slip[ a tooth...i dont know much about imports, my family is into muscle cars and this is my first one...trying to learn. Thanks for the help, ill check the timing and see if thats it....it also idles irratically between 1000and 1500...could it be a sensor maybe?

u said it idles irradically, could be the throttle positioning sensor or the idle air control valve...those seem to be usual 'causes of that, but that wouldn't account for the sputtering - check the timing, make sure it's dead on

alright guys...this is whats up...i didnt even get to check the timing. on my way home last night it finally threw a CEL. Code 43. Something about fuel system or o2 sensor. A guy i know gave me an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator and i defintetly runs better....but every once in a while it still stumbles...any other ideas??

O2 sensor could be bad. Not too sure though. Don't hold me
against it. Can anyone else elaborate.

I would always double check the timing first.
