Changing oil, ran into problems.
Ok first off I drained all the oil, and then filled it back up with 5 qts. well after finishing up i checked the oil and its way up on the dipstick. past the second dot, what should i do? By the way this is on an h22 if it makes any diff.
you serious?.. how far past the 2nd dot on the dipstick is the oil at?... if its only a little bit.. then you're okay.... but I believe the H22 series motors take about 5.2 quarts....
edit: oh i think what you did.... what you probably did is after you put the oil in... you probably checked the oil before you started up the car.... you need to start the car up till the oil light goes out... then shut it off and then check the oil...
oil didn't go to the filter yet thats why it may be way over the 2nd dot...

even if you did overfill it, just pull the drain plug for a sec, drian some oil, check level, and drain soem more or ad some if needed. you worked in a garage? or you were a mechanic? do you smoke massive amounts of refer?

I always check it before first startup, and 5 quarts has never put it over the full mark.

once it starts to poor a tiny stream of oil.. thats when I plug it....works fine that way...
I do oil changes....and from experience.. if you drain the oil... and then check all 4 tire's air pressure... thats enough for it to be drained....

A good way on a honda to loose .2-.3 liters of oil, unscrew the oil filter, drain it, put it back on and start it up again. Beats dropping the oil plugs and having to refill your car.

MAKE SURE UPON DOING THIS TO DOUBLE CHECK THE GASKET TO ENSURE IT HAS NOT COME OFF THE OIL FILTER
