Depends on if you plan to drive it hard through out its life. If so, then push it, not too hard, but drive it like you normally would.

But thing is: Dont go on a long drive at a steady speed/RPM, that will damage the engine.

Just variate the rpm's and drive it like you normally plan on driving it.

Like.. IS it a NEW car? Or is it used?

The engine isn't the only thing that requires a "break in". Read the manual that came with the car. It will answer all your questions and you'll protect your warranty by following the manufacturer's recommendations. I wouldn't rely on advice from just anyone on the internet.

Is it new? Because I just bought my 06 dc5 last friday and I've been driving it around to break it in to the break in point in which the manual recomends. So if it is refer to your manual about the break in period. But if the car is used you don't have to break it in.

Be nice to it. Don't beat on it the first 500 miles.

Those 500 miles seemed long as hell even though it only took me two weeks
