4th Gen CarbonFiber Trunk
I'm planning on ordering one very very soon and was wondering if anyone had received one with fitment/leaking issues or otherwise.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

A friend of mine just got his 4th gen CF trunk from ViS and the fitment is almost perfect. The only company I will buy CF products from is ViS. My CF hood is ******* great and it's ViS

This will most likely be a Seibon trunk, I haven't been able to find a Vis trunk as of yet though.
I however have a ViS Invader hood and I absolutely love it. Fits perfect!

Well for one from the distributor I bought my ViS Hood from...he told me that Seibon won't be making anything for at least a year. ViS bought all the material that was available a few months ago to make CF. Oh and if you're lucky enough to find a ViS Invader right now for a 4th gen jump on it. My ViS Invader got a set of forks through it when it was almost to me. I ended up getting an Evo style Hood and I love it. I thought I'd hate it.

you would be surprised john, the government has huge holds in the cf industry for airplane development, and raw cf is very scarce at the moment...

no ****. well, you learn something new everyday.
I'm, of course, jaded because I work at an exotic motorcycle shop and I have probably $200,000 worth of carbon fiber trim pieces and bodywork just hanging around. I never would've thought that there would ever be a finite amount of raw carbon fiber availble to the general public.

Damn you let me get some of that cf....lol
The only reason I know this is because when jd3jdm's motor was being built the original plan was to make the plenum of the intake manifold out of cf and that plan was foiled(more accurately, aluminized) by the lack thereof.....

I bought the seibon about 4 months ago. It looks damn sexy on black but the only problem i have had with it is the key lock doesnt fit right. Its about half an inch off from the hole in the center piece.
ViS bought all the material that was available a few months ago to make CF.

carbon is the most common element on our plant. if they managed to buy it all out i guess they own the majority of our world.

you don't dig up cabor fiber out of mines, do some research first.
the demand for carbon fiber was an impact of the amount they had available when it bearly came out. and the government is now using it for airplanes and other testing so there is a shortage in materials going on.
Damn that trunk does look sexy!

Look up 'carbon fiber shortage' on google and you'll get TONS of results. The market fluctuates up and down predictably and were near one of the down phases right now...
