Pics of How you cut for oem rear strut bar
i just purchased a oem jdm type r rear strut tower bar for a killer price, and put it onm right away, but i want to put those plastic covers back on, can someone please post some pics of how they cut them to get them to fit perfect
also wasnt there a template that came with them or something?
also what did everyone use to go around the edges of the plastic
thanks

I'll post some pics later of mine....I actually put in ***** and slid teh cover over the brackets then bolted the bar in place. makes for a much cleaner install. Used a Dremmel. I still have the cardboard templates I used...I can scan and post them. I also have the OEM templates, but those come out ugly.

Those rear strut bars are VERY good. I was hit on the side by a 5 tonne truck at 80km in my firet R, when i saw my car in the wreckers yard...the brace was a bent so i'm pretty sure it proberly saved my life because if i hadn't of had the brace on...well the fuel tank would of exploded.. I'm definetly getting another rear strut brace soon for my R.

Black door edge trim which can be found at your local autoparts store works well.
