insurance is gonna cost you ALOT in a Type-R. Why dont you get a GS-R and just swap some ITR cams, Skunk2 IM, Skunk2 Cam Gears, I/H/E, VAFC and tune that sucker. You'll have a cheaper bill plus it'll be faster. A JDM Front end swap could be a plus too... Just a thought-

 

You forgot the best thing about the ITR....suspension!

 

Hold off a bit and you might be able to nab a DC5 R. If your planning on buying a 2000-01, the price difference will probably be about $2k. (once again this is purely speculation/wishful thinking and should not be quoted)

my insurance doubled from my GSR to my Type-R. THing was my GSR was a 1994 and was cheap on insurance. The Type-R is $119/month for insurance.
