LS Turbo project
I'm also going boosted on a stock ls, with minor mod's to the fuel system. Rev Hard Stage 2 @ 8 lb boost.
Just keep it under 9 lbs psi and don't floor the pedal at every light and you should be okay.
Also, make sure you get a good clutch to keep your gears from slipping.

Im doing ls-t also, you can take it higher than 9psi, psi dont matter, run as much psi as you need to reach your goal, its all in the tuning, and a good clutch dont keep the gears from slipping, it keeps the clutch from slipping
Oh: to answer ur question, get a t3t4 50, 57 or 60 trim, but if u got money go with a garrett gt seires turbo, or precision
and search also

Yeah, you can always push up the PSI, but just have to re-inforce the internals eventually. I'm not saying you can't go over 9 psi, but if you're using a bone stock engine and racing it with that much boost, it's not going to last long.

it all depends. you could run a sc61 if your tune is good. but for longetivity, stick to the common t3/to4e.
i would say determine a hp goal and start parting things together slowly. i highly recommend you start researching and see what other people do for ls turbo setups. ALSO search for a tuner near you. GL

[BS police] Please don't say that. PSI is not what breaks internals. Under normal combustion around 2500PSI of pressure is in the combustion chamber what is 9PSI or even 40PSI or air to that really going to hurt....
. Then what should we look at? Cylinder pressures! Cylinder pressures create HP
. So.....the norm for HT is aroun 280-300whp for a bone stock LS. If you don't believe it. I have over 15k miles on a stock 328whp on 18PSI and I'm not nice to it
. [/BS police]
For the OP, go ahead and list a power goal and how much money you have to spend. I feel nice and can probably give you a little list.

$1200 on a turbo setup is not enough. If you go on Homemadeturbo.com. They will be much nicer in helping piece together a little turbo setup. IMO without at least $2000 I'd just save up more.

Well I have a LS-T too and people have been telling me that 12 psi will run on stock internals. But the question is how long will it last? I got a Custom turbo kit with a T04e turbo for $2000 It'll be hard to find a turbo kit for $1200 cause you need to get your oil pan tapped, better oil, Oil lines, etc. etc. etc. It just keeps on going man. I am barely finished with my project and it's been like 3 months for me.
