Default Chocolate milk in catch can????

So my catch can setup i have, used to fill up with dark oil.

Well 2 days ago i advanced my timing, and filled up with 91 octane. 300 miles later i see some chocolate milk in there? very chocolaty and light. It looks like there were bubbles in the catch can too and moisture everywhere. What is this from?

Sounds like blown headgasket, I'd start by checking your coolant and oil.

That would be coolant mixing with your oil... IE you blew up your headgasket.

expletive! so advancing the timing that much made me blow my head gasket? coolant is fine, oil is a little low however. I seriously cant afford a repair like this, did i mess things up big time? i guess i should set it back huh

or could this be moisture getting in the catch can since my PCV valve wasnt even working, it wasnt closing when vaccuum was applied, and there was a small leak in the line, i fixed that now, but who knows.....is this for sure a blown head gasket? the car runs fine, coolant is steady and the oil looks ok

It's not too bad, u can do the headgasket yourself, just change the oil and drain/replace the coolant it should be fine (actually run and drain the coolant twice to make sure it takes all the oil w/ it the 2nd time, if u see no oil in the coolant u should be okay to go)

It's not the exactly what anybody needs, I know the feeling, was driving my friend's stock ITR w/ a blown headgasket and it just makes for a very unhappy driving experience as well as wallet drainage on oil burning, thick smoke out the tail pipe as well O.O

But at least it's not the most expensive thing in the world...iono how much the headgasket'll run ya, probably under $100, and however much for the oil replacement and coolant replacement (varies depending on the oil u use)

EDIT:
PS: when u change the headgasket, and u go to put the timing belt back on, align it right..then becareful how far u adjust it..

ill probably do the timing belt and water pump at the same time....i dont see any smoke out the rear of the car, and it runs perfectly. I turned the dizzy almost all the way towards the firewall with 91 octaine in it. Aside from my girlfrield being in california with another guy, this is the last thing i need right now, how long can i drive it for?

Just moving the dizzy towards the firewall won't advance your timing. Well, it will for only a few seconds, until the ecu sets is back to stock. If you want to advance it then you have to jump the service connector and THEN move the dizzy accordingly. Busted headgasket can be for many reasons

oh i jumped the sevice connector.....and then moved it while the CEL was on....but im hoping it was only moisture in the catch can, because now its starting to look darker again....however my oil level is VERY low

But no real sign of lots of oil the coolant, or moisture comming from the exhaust, dont see any smoke. car runs fine.

I don't get it, why are you so intent on advancing ur timing w/o tuning that u blow ur headgasket out and still are intent on advancing it more...

The question should be: How bad did you hotrod your ride after advancing the timing and using the higher octane gas?

you have altezzas

and YOU are stupid if you think an autozone headgasket is good. Kragen carries the felpro one that i still wouldnt use but i would over autozones.

Why all the hype over the headgasket? do a leakdown. I doubt anything is wrong at all. just a coincidence.

well it might not be blown, but it could be leaking (which would account for all the problems)

yea i dont think its blown since the car runs really strong. Idles perfect, revs fine, alot better now actually. Im just thinking there is a leak in my catch can setup (N/A) thats causing moisture to develope in there. Oil is a tad low, coolant is fine. Ill do a compression test this weekend.
