Default Problem with AC vents...

I was in the middle of my trip this morning and i had the air on the defrost setting (frontwind shield) and I cut it off...after a while i cut the air back on and i went to switch it to blow out the front vents at my face, but it didn't switch. The lights changed but the air flow stayed on the defrost setting So does anybody know what could have went wrong? As of right now it is stuck on the defrost setting which isn't good for me down here in the hot *** weather we have here in GA

This is a common problem on 4th Gens. The soldering points on the climate control unit go bad often. You need to resolder them. I had the same problem. Once I resoldered them, they work fine now.

I am guessing it is the same problem with your 5th gen. I would try this first before changing the motor that controls the vents.
