Yes the pics are fuzzy. I've posted some in a photography forum to ask how I can make them not suck so hardcore. They all had a laugh at my expense but are helping me out a little bit lol.
sch10 304. Beveled, gapped, purged and done in two passes with 1/16 308 root pass and 3/32 308 for the cover pass( I like that it cools the puddle down a lil)
Flanges are BMC mild welded with 309L. First time I've used 309L. Anyone else have their 309 welds come out with good color but a little dull looking? They are fine but not as shiny as when I weld mild to stainless with 308. Opinions are welcome(including "wtf? you suck at taking pictures" comments).
Root pass.
Cover pass. Including a stop.

Full penetration purged pic. Well at least you can see that I purged it. I didn't want to drop a big ole flow interupting bead on the inside so it's just peaking through. Maybe like 99.9% penetration. Hopefully you can at least get a vague idea of what the inside looks like.

Fillet welds.

Here is a pic from further away. The two fillets that are partially done on the middle runners are the ones that were mildly annoying me. They are a mix between really really light blue and light golden in color but they are kind of dull. These were the first two welds that I did and they are not overly hot. Notice the golden one on the runner to the right that I did right after doing the middle two with the same setup. Even that one is not as shiney as when I weld with 308 but the light from the open door is hitting it wierd.

you're gonna be flying through that argon with just one tank
Best way is separate bottle and regulator but this regulator in the link below will work good too. Just make sure you use a larger tank for longer use.

Thanks guys. A couple of those pictures are after I figured out how to switch to macro mode. My sister is a lot better at taking pictures than me so I'll see if she can help me out next weekend.
For the purge I just gank the regulator from my mig and run it off my extra argon tank. It's really a lot more simple than most people think. Just block off all the openings with something or other, I use tin foil cuz I'm ghetttto
, run argon through the inside and punch a hole somewhere else in the tin foil so the argon can escape. It's really not that hard.

Welds look good from what I can see

I stood on one foot, held the camera behind my back and pressed the button with my left big toe.
Don't lie. You know that's impressive.

Good photographs is like good welding. huh!?
I second the macro suggestion. Push the button that looks like a flower on the camera before taking a picture. Next. you need more light. Daylight is best. Bright day in the shade with no direct sunlight hitting the subject.
If that's not possible, take it into a white bathroom/bathtub. Plenty of light in there. You can use flash cause the white reflects evrything and eliminates shadows.
From what I can see - great welds.
