Engine mounts F20B -> 1G crx
I'm wanting to put a F20B in my 1985 crx...
naturally there are no off the shelf mounts available, so my question is, how do you go about making the engine mounts so the engine lines up properly etc?
maybe if anyone knows links to threads with pictures of a h22a (etc - essentially same block as the f20b) engine mount setup for a 1g crx or 3g civic that would be very helpful as well
unless anyone knows a place that makes the mounts....

Get the motor and tranny, place it in the engine bay. Locate it so that it appears, for the moment, to be a good location. Take some measurements to get an idea what kind of axle setup may be possible. If you can come up with it then try to install the axles in order to view if they will bind. Through that process just come up with a position that seems to work.
To mock up the mounts you can use cardboard and tape to cut your pattern and make a mount that works. Use a level to ensure the engine is placed appropriately. Also don't forget to check for hood/oil pan clearance balance.
Not really a hard process, just time consuming to get right.
