Check the VIN: 1HGEM1...

The stock lip can be removed from the bumper.

the engine should be b16a2, si gauge cluster, yada yada, rear disks, mesh grill, si badge on back, DOHC VTEC badges on the sides.

that si front lip will be hard to find. you can order a color matched one from honda for around $270

If the VIN starts with "1HGEM1 . . . " then it is an Si chassis. If it starts with anything else (like "1HGEJ8 . . . "), it is not an Si.

and the most efficient, those badges are transferable, I've seen people do tons of sticker swaps and **** on different cars to make it appear as different trims (like GT badgets, etc.) -- The engine VIN wouldn't do u ne good because it could just be a B16 from anotehr 99-00 si, the one under the window on the dash is ur best bet, it's an EM1 chassis which as people already stated, starts with 1HGEM1..

The dash VIN can be removed. Check VINs at different locations (firewall, every panel should have a VIN sticker if it hasn't be replaced).

The dash is also a darker grey, almost a black. But that can be changed also.

And the grill will look like:

XXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXHXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXX

If it was an ex:
-----------------
-------H---------
-----------------

But, once again. Easy to change bumpers.

Headrests are also hollow, All other trims have solid headrests.
