Default Detailers come in..need some help

All right I have a GBP (granada black pearl) 94 civic coupe and i've waxed it occassionaly with Meguiar's Gold Class wax but it's good enough.I also have Meguiar's 3 step system except for the wax.I used to apply the deep crystal paint cleaner 1st,then the deep crystal polish 2nd then finish it off with the Gold Class wax.Well it's not good enough and i want a better result,my roof basically looks like this

similar story with my trunk

so I was reading up the HT detailing FAQ thread and looked around online for some products, but i'm not sure what to get.Hell I'm not even sure what order i should apply the products in.

Meguiar's Heavy Cut Cleaner(#4) sounds like it would do the trick,is this a good product?
http://www.autogeek.net/meg4heavclea.html

what comes next?polish?wax?sealant?

damn i'm lost,lol

also to keep you guys in mind that I will be doing this by hand, applicator pads/buffing cloths reccomendations are also needed to

thanks guys

use a high grit sand paper for wet sanding. Sand lightly to keep some clear coat. A high speed buffer is helpful to apply the wax.

Due to lack of experience wet sanding is not an option

the same goes for a buffer, well financial reasons is why a buffer is out of the question:p

Porter Cable orbital buffer. It's pretty cheap, 100 bux from Lowe's.

Everything you need to know here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=759158 then just follow the Detailing stick up top to keep the maintenance.

my hood looked exactly the same... i picked up a 20 dollar coleman orbital from walmart, and then i ordered some optimum polish from autogeek... and it looks like glass right now.

i also heard that meguairs high speed glaze works wonders too.

im telling you it worked great. theres no way you can mess up with a random orbital buffer.

the whole burning paint thing is with the non-random kinds. ill post you a pic under direct sunlight when it stops stormin here.

follow the order that I mention in the FAQ... as for the product, I don't think I'd go any more aggressive than Swirl Free Polish, especially since you're only doing it by hand - I think I mentioned a bit about polishing by hand in the thread as well... use terry cloths folded up into eighths and just go back and forth until the product is clear.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Spoon_Fed_EM1 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">use a high grit sand paper for wet sanding. Sand lightly to keep some clear coat. A high speed buffer is helpful to apply the wax.</TD></TR></TABLE>

No, he most likely won't need to wetsand - always start from the least abrasive, moving up in abrasiveness if needed. And a high speed buffer helps more with the polishing part, not the waxing part.
