Default Lowered 1997 Honda Prelude VTEC and snow.

I just purchased my first car, a 1997 Honda Prelude the other day and I'm thinking about lowering the car about 2 or so inches. I live in CO, and these past couple winters have been somewhat "mild." Would I have any problems in the winter time if I went on with lowering my car? Keep this in mind also, I am a new user and If I cant reply then you know why. Thanks in advance.

it even lowered, would still be a couple inches off the ground.. so unless you drive commonly on unplowed roads, it shouldnt be a problem.

yea I would suggest otherwise. Mine is not lowered and I bottomed out everywhere. Winter driving in this car sucks. Traction was great with winter tires but clearance was a major issue imo.

If you are going to lower it for the winter, you might want to think about getting something adjustable.

Yea our winters up here might be a bit different. Al I can say is that I drove mine everyday in the winter and it wasn't lowered and it sucked. It would scrape everywhere.

get coilovers so you can adjust your height during the winter

My Prelude and my wallet enjoy the winter. She doesn't go on the roads and she only has liability and comp during the winter. No collision for 4 months saves me a lot.

Come on mang, you dont have winter driving conditions down there enough. Going to denver in winter is like a trip to the beach. You'll be as unsafe as everyone else who freaks out when theres 1/16" of snow and visibility is only 40 ft..lol..Its more in the tires

Yea it sucks driving on the OEM tires. I have a set of snow tires for winter, it makes driving 10x easier in snow.
