Question about Emblems and Badge...
ok, so I KNOW this has been covered many many times, just recently as well IIRC... taking the A emblems/Acura badge off and placing the JDM H emblems from the R, as well as the JDM ITR Honda badge...
i was looking at my front bumper and that A emblem is SNUG and i have fresh 3 month old paint on that i don't want to blemish. i know, well asume from what i hear that it's not bad after you head it up with a blow dryer, BUT i don't want to get the paint to hot? also if I DO this is a butter knife good to use to pry them off??

just slowly pull it through the gap between the emblem and the paint, then take some goo-gone to the residue

Don't use goo gone as I am looking @ a bottle of it right now and it says nothing about using it on cars. Use 3m adhesive remover since it is clearcoat safe. Lowe's or GI Joe's should have some of this stuff.

To properly remove the front emblem, you will have to remove the front bumper to access the rear side of the emblem. If you do not do it this way, the tabs behind the emblem will break off. However, since you will be replacing the emblem with an "H" emblem, just go ahead and break it off.
I have used goo gone on many vehicle applications and have not experienced any damage using this product. I highly recommend it to remove the adhesive on the vehicle.
Another thing I would like to point out is that I've used both fishing line and credit cards, but prefer fishing line.

If you don't have access to fishing line (and are too lazy to head out to a shop) I'd recommend dental floss (waxed.) Credit cards are ok and/or a plastic razor blade, not an actual razor blade... it could really do a number on your paint.
thanks guys, but i'd never take a razor blade to the body of my car
is this all of the same for the Acura badge as well on the top left corner of the hatch? any words on installing the new ones, i'm thinkin' it's already calling for a couple of small peices of 3M double sided tape... this isn't going to make the emblem stick out from the bumper more is it? i know the 3M stuff is kind of thick

I used the fishing line technique, but I also used a heat gun set on low heat just to warm up the adhesive a bit, which made it much easier to cut through with the fishing line.

I've used goo gone on several cars and never had any problems whatsoever with the finish or anything.

If you got the emblems brand new, they come with adhesive backing already. Just stick them on your cleaned surface and you'll be good to go.
The rear emblem is much easier to remove since there is nothing other than adhesive holding it on.

What emblem do you plan on putting for the "HONDA" emblem? Go with the euro one without the black in between the letters. Its the only way to go. Here's one on ebay.
